Miss Runs, Tones, Strengthens and Rests
My journey to a healthy level of exercise is still ongoing. I began seriously working out in my senior years of high school, when I was on the track team. This progresssed until I joined varsity track in university. There, I began working out for hours a day, and was introduced to lifting. I became addicted to the exercise, to a point where I no longer enjoyed it.
What happened then was predictable: I injured myself, then stopped exercising altogether.
Today I am working on finding a balance that I enjoy. Once again, I run, but now I mix the cardio up with fun classes at my local gym, resistance training and stretching. Someday I hope to be able to start every morning with a run on the beach with a dog at my heels. This picture is my inspiration ^~ I have to keep in shape for that pup-to-be!
